Marvel Rivals has added more than a routine store rotation in its September 24 update. Galacta's Gift Vol. 3 brings back the Costume Coin and expands the limited-time Exchange Store, while God Quarry gives Season 10 a new Domination battlefield. A second set of decisions follows on September 25, when the Morning Dew and Dare-Dragon bundles arrive alongside King Thor, a Mantis chroma and Ultimate Ability VFX, and Jeff the Land Shark's Breakfin'.

The good news is that these choices do not all require Lattice. The Costume Coin belongs to the event reward path, God Quarry is playable content, and the store cosmetics are optional purchases. Keeping those categories separate is the easiest way to enjoy the update without turning every new tab into the same spending decision.

When the September 24 update goes live

The official Version 20260924 patch notes schedule the update for September 24 at 09:00 UTC. That is 5:00 AM EDT and 2:00 AM PDT in the United States. There is no planned server downtime, so players only need to install the patch and reconnect if the client requests it.

Galacta's Gift Vol. 3 and the God Quarry update begin at that time. The dedicated God Quarry Quick Match queue remains open until September 29 at 08:59 UTC, while Galacta's Gift Vol. 3 continues until November 13 at 09:00 UTC. Those are different deadlines: the map remains part of the game, but its focused queue is the short window; the Costume Coin event has much more breathing room.

The new store wave begins separately on September 25 at 02:00 UTC, or September 24 at 10:00 PM EDT and 7:00 PM PDT. Check the countdown displayed in your own client because daylight-saving rules and regional storefront refreshes can make an older converted time misleading.

How Galacta's Gift Vol. 3 and the Costume Coin work

The official notice confirms two important points: the Costume Coin is returning, and the Exchange Store is receiving a large limited-time costume update. Current coverage of the live patch reports that match participation advances the event reward path toward the Costume Coin. Open the event page before queuing so you can see which tasks count, whether progress is daily or cumulative, and how many stages remain on your account.

A Costume Coin is not Lattice, Units, or a universal coupon. It works inside its own Exchange Store and only on the costumes currently listed there. A skin being visible elsewhere in the normal store does not automatically mean the coin can redeem it. The safest sequence is to earn the coin, open the Exchange Store, inspect the complete eligible list, and only then choose.

The event lasts until November 13, so there is no need to redeem the moment the coin appears. Waiting a little is useful when you are still comparing mains, checking animations, or deciding whether a newly added costume fits a hero you actually play.

Choosing the best Costume Coin skin for your account

Rarity is a weak first filter. A costume on a hero used every week usually creates more value than a rarer-looking option on a hero left untouched. Start with three questions: which heroes appear in your current rotation, which eligible skin changes the look enough to feel meaningful, and which option would otherwise require the most Units that you genuinely intended to spend.

Preview the model, MVP animation, effects and any included extras from the live Exchange Store. Do not rely on an old Galacta's Gift list, because Volume 3 adds a new batch and limited availability can change the selection. Also check whether the item is a full costume rather than a recolor, accessory, or separate visual upgrade.

If two choices are close, delay the redemption and play several matches with both heroes. The Costume Coin is most useful when it removes a purchase you were already considering, not when it creates a new reason to collect something that will never leave the inventory screen.

What to expect from the God Quarry map

God Quarry is a new Domination map built around Gorr's Season 10 story. Domination rewards teams that rotate early, contest the active objective together, and avoid spending too long chasing fights away from the point. A new map makes those habits more important because routes, sightlines, health-pack locations and destructible cover are still unfamiliar.

From September 24 at 09:00 UTC to September 29 at 08:59 UTC, a dedicated Quick Match queue lets players practice God Quarry without waiting for it to appear in the wider rotation. Use the first games to learn entrances and regroup routes rather than treating every match as a final verdict on a hero. Mobile heroes can test flank timings; Vanguards should identify safe approaches to the point; Strategists benefit from finding cover that keeps both the objective and escape path visible.

God Quarry is gameplay content and does not require a Costume Coin or Lattice purchase. The themed visuals may sit beside store promotions, but access to the map is not tied to buying a Season 10 cosmetic.

New Mantis, Daredevil, Thor, and Jeff cosmetics

Mantis' Morning Dew bundle and Daredevil's Dare-Dragon bundle are scheduled from September 25 at 02:00 UTC through October 23 at 02:00 UTC. King Thor, the Morning Dew Emoji Bundle, Mantis' Dreamy Dew and Sunny Snooze chromas with an Ultimate Ability VFX, and Jeff the Land Shark's Breakfin' become available at the same starting time; the patch note does not publish one common removal date for that second group.

The bundle price and included items should be checked in the live store. Do not assume a new Legendary or Epic bundle follows an old screenshot exactly. A bundle can be worthwhile when you want its costume plus the MVP animation, emote, spray or nameplate. If only the costume matters, compare the standalone option before converting Lattice into Units.

Mantis players have an extra layer to consider: the base Morning Dew bundle and its chromas or Ultimate Ability VFX are separate decisions. Owning or buying a base costume should not be treated as automatic justification for every customization attached to it.

Swimsuit Special costumes have two departure dates

The update also gives advance notice for the Swimsuit Special collection. Wave 1 leaves on October 16 at 02:00 UTC and includes Emma Frost's White Wave Queen, Doctor Strange's Nautical Mystic, Daredevil's Sonar Savior, Black Widow's Aquatic Assassin, Captain America's Seaside Sentinel, Lady Loki's Seaside Siren, and White Fox's Coastal Kumiho.

Wave 2 leaves on November 20 at 02:00 UTC and includes Magik's Soul Surfer, Scarlet Witch's Seaside Sorceress, and Storm's Sacred Skies. Krakoan Reels Vol. 2 ends earlier, on October 15 at 09:00 UTC.

These dates are useful planning information, not a reason to buy every departing item. Make a shortlist now and leave the final purchase until after checking the Costume Coin selection. If the free event route covers a different hero you like, the Units saved there may be better used on one swimsuit costume that really is a priority.

Costume Coin, Units, Lattice, and Unstable Molecules are different

The Costume Coin redeems eligible items from its event Exchange Store. Units purchase many normal store cosmetics. Lattice is the paid currency used for Luxury Battle Passes and can be converted into Units at a 1:1 ratio. Unstable Molecules are used for supported chromas and Ultimate Ability visual customizations. One balance does not automatically replace another.

Before topping up, write down the exact target and the currency shown beside it. Keep any Battle Pass Lattice aside, subtract free Units already owned from the store price, and convert only the remaining amount. For a Mantis customization, confirm whether the base costume is required and whether the color or VFX uses Unstable Molecules rather than Units.

Treabar's Marvel Rivals top-up page currently lists Global-server packages from 100 to 11,680 Lattice and requests a User ID for delivery. It lists PC and PlayStation as the applicable platforms. Recheck the platform, server, User ID, package amount, final price and current promotion before payment. A UID top-up should not require your game password or social login.

A sensible order for spending after the update

First, open Galacta's Gift Vol. 3 and understand the Costume Coin tasks. Second, play God Quarry through the dedicated queue while it is easy to access. Third, inspect the updated Exchange Store and choose a short list, but do not redeem until you have compared the eligible costumes properly. Only after that should paid store decisions enter the budget.

For light spenders, one clear goal is enough: a Battle Pass, one favorite bundle, or one leaving Swimsuit Special costume. Mantis mains should calculate the base costume and customization separately. Daredevil players should compare Dare-Dragon with the existing Sonar Savior before buying both under deadline pressure. Collectors can split the calendar into October 16, October 23, November 13, and November 20 rather than funding every category on day one.

The September 24 update is generous with things to try before paying. Earn the event reward, learn the map, preview every candidate and top up only the remaining gap. That order keeps the Costume Coin valuable and the Lattice purchase tied to something you will actually use.
