Zenless Zone Zero 3.2 Phase 2: Should You Pull Roxy or Promeia?

Zenless Zone Zero Version 3.2 changes direction on September 30. Roxy arrives as the new S-Rank Wind Stun Agent, while Promeia returns as an S-Rank Ice Anomaly option. Their featured W-Engines, Crimson Moon Casket and Frostfall Sickle, create a second spending decision beside the Agent banners. At the same time, Diary of an Orbie Parent and the “En-Nah” Into Your Lap login event begin, which makes the second half look more generous than a banner screen alone suggests.

The important distinction is that not every free reward is an Agent pull. The ten Boopons from “En-Nah” Into Your Lap belong to the Bangboo Channel. They cannot be converted into ten Encrypted Master Tapes for Roxy or Promeia. This guide keeps those currencies separate, compares the two Agents by account need rather than hype, and shows when a ZZZ Monochrome top up is useful instead of automatic. For the broader launch context, Treabar’s Version 3.2 launch guide covers Claret, the first-half rewards and the complete version plan.

When does ZZZ 3.2 Phase 2 begin?

The Phase 2 change is scheduled for September 30, after the current Claret phase closes. Roxy appears through the Cindernight Respite Signal Search, and Promeia returns through Cold Rain Wanes in the Night. The corresponding W-Engine channels feature Crimson Moon Casket for Stun and Frostfall Sickle for Anomaly. Current schedules place the second half through October 20, shortly before Version 3.2 ends.

Use the countdown shown on your own Signal Search page as the final clock. Zenless Zone Zero labels many activities in server time, and an account on the Asia, Europe or America server may not rotate at the same hour shown by a guide written for another region. If you still want Claret or Crimson Thirst, finish that decision before their live countdown reaches zero rather than assuming the September 30 calendar date gives you the whole day.

The official Version 3.2 update announcement confirms Roxy as Wind and Stun, Crimson Moon Casket as an S-Rank Stun W-Engine, and the September 30 event wave. Promeia and Frostfall Sickle are returning targets, so existing build tests are available; still, read the live channel details before pulling because rate-up lists and exact end times belong to the client notice.

What does Roxy add to an account?

Roxy is most interesting when a roster needs another serious Stun option rather than another main damage dealer. A Stun Agent helps fill the enemy Daze gauge and creates the window in which the rest of the squad can deliver its strongest sequence. That makes her value depend on the teams you already play. If one side of Shiyu Defense or another endgame mode repeatedly lacks a comfortable Stunner, Roxy can solve a structural problem that raw damage upgrades do not.

Her Wind attribute also matters for accounts with limited Wind coverage. A new element-and-role combination can be useful even when an account already owns a strong general Stunner, especially when stage bonuses or enemy matchups reward Wind. The safer test is not “Is Roxy newer?” but “Which team will use her immediately?” Name the damage dealer, support and content before spending. If no real squad appears, the banner may be a preference pull rather than a roster repair.

Roxy also has trial access when her channel opens. Use it to check field time, rotation comfort, Daze speed and how her actions fit your controller or mobile habits. A highly rated character can still feel awkward if her rhythm does not suit you. Players who already clear with established Stun Agents can wait for live testing instead of treating a new specialty combination as mandatory.

When is the Promeia rerun the better choice?

Promeia is the more direct choice for players who want an Ice Anomaly carry and already have teammates or resources that support that plan. Because she is a rerun, there is more mature information about her teams, equipment and field requirements than there is for a debut Agent. That makes the question practical: would Promeia create a complete playable team now, or would she sit unfinished while you build several missing pieces?

Accounts with an established Ice or Anomaly framework may get faster value from her than from another Stunner. Players who skipped her first run but have since obtained suitable supports can also use the rerun to finish a team they already intended to build. By contrast, an account with several damage carries but weak support and Stun coverage may gain less from adding another carry, even if Promeia’s personal damage is attractive.

Do not let the word “rerun” create artificial urgency. It means a character has returned, not that she will never return again. Review actual content needs, available upgrade materials and the next version targets. If Promeia requires an entire new team while Roxy slots into an existing one, Roxy is easier to justify. If the opposite is true, the rerun may be the cleaner investment.

Roxy or Promeia: choose by the missing role

For a newer account, complete teams matter more than collecting isolated S-Ranks. Choose Roxy when you have a damage core but lack dependable Stun coverage. Choose Promeia when you can immediately support an Ice Anomaly carry and need that damage route. If neither one completes a team, saving is a valid result of the comparison.

For established accounts, look at role duplication. Owning several premium Stun Agents lowers Roxy’s urgency unless Wind coverage or her specific play pattern fills a clear gap. Owning multiple finished Anomaly carries lowers Promeia’s urgency unless Ice content or a favorite team gives her a distinct job. Endgame buffs can make a banner look unusually strong for one cycle; do not confuse a temporary stage bonus with permanent account necessity.

Players who want both should set an order before opening the channel. Secure the higher-priority Agent first, stop and recount resources, then decide whether the second target still fits the ceiling. Pulling back and forth because one banner delivered an early A-Rank does not improve the odds of the S-Rank you actually want.

Are Crimson Moon Casket and Frostfall Sickle worth pulling?

Crimson Moon Casket is Roxy’s featured S-Rank Stun W-Engine. Frostfall Sickle is Promeia’s returning S-Rank Anomaly W-Engine. Both are designed around their associated Agent, but an exclusive W-Engine should be treated as a separate target, not as part of the price of obtaining the character.

For most accounts, the safer order is Agent first, workable alternative second, signature last. A new Agent can unlock a team; a signature often improves a team that already exists. Before searching for Crimson Moon Casket, inspect the Stun W-Engines you own and ask whether Roxy already performs the required job with one of them. Apply the same check to Promeia and available Anomaly engines before targeting Frostfall Sickle.

Signatures make more sense for a favorite Agent you expect to use for a long time, when the Agent is already secured and the remaining budget does not endanger a future priority. The W-Engine Channel has its own cumulative guarantee count and is independent from Agent channels. Never subtract W-Engine searches from the Agent pity number or assume an Agent guarantee protects the engine result.

Which free Phase 2 rewards help the pull plan?

Diary of an Orbie Parent runs from September 30 to October 19, server time. It requires Inter-Knot Level 20 and completion of Chapter 1 Intermission. Its event rewards can support the wider account economy, but players should count only the Polychrome and items shown in the live reward list rather than inventing a total before completing the stages.

“En-Nah” Into Your Lap runs from September 30 to October 20 and awards ten Boopons through seven cumulative login days. Boopons are used on the Bangboo Channel. They are not Encrypted Master Tapes, cannot be spent on the Roxy banner or Promeia rerun, and should not be counted as ten limited-Agent pulls. This distinction is especially important in search results and social posts that shorten every ticket reward to “free pulls.”

The earlier All-New Program login reward does provide ten Encrypted Master Tapes if an eligible account has not finished it, while Surprise Screening Plan and other 3.2 activities may provide Polychrome. Check which rewards remain claimable on your account. Do not count compensation that required an account to meet an earlier eligibility cutoff if the mail is not actually present.

Check pity, guarantee and currency before opening a banner

Open Signal Search History and write down the count since the last S-Rank on the limited Agent channel. Then note whether the next S-Rank is guaranteed to be the featured Agent. Keep this record separate from the W-Engine Channel and Bangboo Channel. Channel rules can be checked through the Details button in the client, which is safer than relying on a remembered number from an old version.

Next, count Encrypted Master Tapes and Polychrome already owned. Add only rewards that can be claimed before the chosen channel ends. Keep Boopons in a separate line. If you use Monochrome, decide the maximum amount before the first search rather than after a near miss. A spending ceiling should still feel acceptable if the first S-Rank is not the featured target.

Once the target arrives, stop and review. Mindscapes, the signature W-Engine and the second Agent are three separate upgrades with different costs. An early Roxy does not automatically make Crimson Moon Casket affordable, and an early Promeia does not turn Frostfall Sickle into a free follow-up.

How to plan a ZZZ Monochrome top up

Monochrome can be converted into Polychrome, which can then cover Encrypted Master Tapes, but conversion does not fix an unclear pull plan. First calculate the shortfall to one chosen stopping point. Then compare the available package, region, delivery method and first-purchase bonus shown on the account. Do not add a bonus twice or assume a reset that is not visible in your own shop.

Treabar’s Zenless Zone Zero top-up page can be used after the shortfall is known. Check the correct region and required account identifiers, then choose the smallest package that reaches the planned ceiling. A direct top-up should not require your game password, email password or social-login credentials. Confirm delivery in game before placing another order.

The cleanest budget has one primary Agent, an optional second step and a firm stop. For example: Roxy first, then save; Promeia first, then consider Frostfall Sickle only if enough currency remains; or skip both and preserve the guarantee. “Phase 2 is here” is a calendar fact, not a reason to turn every available currency into searches.

Frequently asked questions

When does the Roxy banner begin?

Roxy is scheduled for ZZZ 3.2 Phase 2 on September 30. Use the countdown on your server’s Signal Search page for the exact local opening and ending time.

Should I pull Roxy or Promeia?

Choose Roxy if a Wind Stun Agent completes an existing team or fixes weak Stun coverage. Choose Promeia if you can support an Ice Anomaly carry immediately. Save if neither solves a real roster need.

Do the ten Boopons give ten pulls for Roxy?

No. Boopons are for the Bangboo Channel. Roxy and Promeia require Encrypted Master Tapes or Polychrome on the limited Agent channel.

Should I get the Agent or signature W-Engine first?

For most accounts, secure the Agent first and test a usable alternative W-Engine. Consider the signature only after the Agent is obtained and the remaining budget is safe.

Do I need to top up Monochrome before Phase 2 starts?

No. Check pity, guarantee, saved Tapes, Polychrome and claimable event rewards first. Top up only for a measured shortfall to a target you already chose.
